Spotlight on Kimberly Marin

This month, we highlight Kimberly Marin from State Insurance Agency in Lanham.

Kimberly Marin began her insurance journey in 2015 starting as a receptionist in an insurance office. Since then she has evolved into a dedicated insurance professional with her own agency. “It (insurance) caught my attention. I have dedicated myself to learning everything related to insurance,” she says.

Maryland Auto plays a vital role in her business. Kimberly highlights the price structure and the ability to offer insurance coverage to clients who are building their driving record or those who have violations. “I have always found the best price options at Maryland Auto,” she says.

“I remember a client who was very concerned because he was paying too much for his car insurance, he had two at-fault accidents on record and his company had increased the price of his policy. I quoted with Maryland Auto and to the customer’s surprise we found a price that was almost 50% less than what he was paying. The client was happy with the price, he immediately took out the policy with Maryland Auto. As a token of gratitude, he brought a plant to our office which he cares for to this day.

Beyond her professional role, Kimberly actively engages with the local community and organizations. Annual events for children, toy donations, provision of food, and support for church construction in her home country of El Salvador reflect her commitment to addressing economic needs and fostering community well-being.

Kimberly actively engages with the local community. “At the end of every year, we hold events for children, we gift toys and provide food. We gift baskets to families in need and we also help with the construction of Temples for churches in my home country of El Salvador.”
