October 24, 2024 (Baltimore) Maryland Auto joined the Business Studies Department and Business Club of Community College of Baltimore County (CCBC) in conjunction with the University of Baltimore Advisory Committee for another series of Risk Management and Insurance Career Day Fairs. The sessions were held on Wednesday, October 23rd at the CCBC Essex campus and on Thursday, October 24th at the CCBC Catonsville campus.

Last spring, Maryland Auto and CCBC hosted a series of well attended career fair days at both college campuses. These informational fairs educated high school and college students about the benefits and opportunities available through a career in the insurance industry.

“Career opportunities in the industry expand beyond the more well-known roles of sales/insurance agent, claim adjuster, and underwriting,” said Maryland Auto Executive Director, and former two-time Maryland Insurance Commissioner, Al Redmer, Jr. “The industry can provide an enormous amount of opportunity and career stability. No matter your area of interest or skillset, there are unlimited opportunities in the world of insurance. Students can explore areas of expertise such as legal, claims, information technology, human resources, data analytics, sales, marketing, communications, or operations just to name a few.”

Professionals from various insurance companies and specialties in the industry were on hand to answer question from career fair attendees. Several participating organizations were there to schedule on-site interviews for interns and career positions.
