December 12, 2024 (Baltimore) De’Von Brown has been named the new Government Relations Manager at Maryland Auto Insurance. Mr. Brown is the former Legislative Director for Delegate Sheneka Henson and comes to Maryland Auto with experience in government affairs and policy advocacy, as well as media and public relations.

Mr. Brown has dedicated his life to building relationships with local and statewide elected officials, as well as key community stakeholders. Over the years, De’Von has held several key leadership positions, including serving as a Media Producer at the Baltimore City State’s Attorney’s Office. He also served as Chief of Staff for Baltimore City Councilman Antonio Glover, where he provided strategic guidance, managed legislative priorities, and coordinated community outreach to address constituent needs. As Legislative Director for Maryland State Delegate Shaneka Henson, De’Von played a pivotal role in drafting and advancing legislation such as the Cameron Carden Act and worked to build coalitions to ensure successful policy outcomes.

“As Government Relations Manager for Maryland Auto, my focus will be on building strong relationships with legislators, advocacy groups, and industry leaders to help make Maryland’s roads safer and ensure all drivers are insured,” says Mr. Brown. “I look forward to being part of a team that works together to advance the agency’s mission and contribute to the safety and well-being of Maryland residents.”

Mr. Brown will assume his new role as Maryland Auto’s current Government Relations Manager, Sandra Dodson, prepares to retire at the end of the year.
