BALTIMORE (July 23, 2015) – Chair, Karenthia A. Barber announced that the Board of Trustees appointed Mark McCurdy as Acting Executive Director of Maryland Auto Insurance.
Ms. Barber announced Mr. McCurdy’s appointment as Acting Executive Director earlier this week. “I was overwhelmed with the employees’ enthusiastic response to Mark’s appointment. The outpouring of support that employees expressed demonstrated their respect and regard for Mark. I am confident that Mark will successfully lead the organization and execute the mission of Maryland Auto Insurance,” said Ms. Barber. “Mark has been the face of Maryland Auto with the legislature, was a key player in the reorganization of Maryland Auto’s corporate governance and he has the respect of every member of the Board. We are grateful that he is willing to step into this role.”
Ms. Barber thanked former Executive Director M. Kent Krabbe for his years of service.
