Spotlight on Celiane Boston

This month, we highlight Celiane Boston from CBF&I Agency in Owings Mills. 

Celiane Boston embarked on a career in the insurance industry in 2014, but it wasn’t until 2020 that she delved into the world of auto insurance. The turning point came when recruiters from State Farm and Farmers Insurance approached her in April 2020, which led to the establishment of her agency later that same year.

Celiane has been working with Maryland Auto since 2021. “In the current economic climate, Maryland Auto plays a crucial role in my business by allowing me to serve clients that other carriers have turned down,” she says. “Maryland Auto provides a second chance to those who might face difficulties getting coverage elsewhere.”

She explains that this is particularly meaningful in situations where other carriers might not provide coverage. “One notable experience involved assisting Ukrainian citizens who fled to the United States due to the war. Many insurance providers refused coverage (to them) due to a lack of prior insurance. Maryland Auto’s willingness to insure them made a significant difference in my ability to help these individuals.”

Celiane says that her journey has involved the typical challenges that small business owners face, but she maintains a positive outlook. “I’ve embraced numerous opportunities, such as leaving my job amid the pandemic to open my agency. I continue to actively seek and pursue new opportunities in my professional journey.”
